So my parents finally took me to a Brewer game even though I've been asking them all summer long when we can actually go and see the Brewers live and not just watch them on the stupid TV. Well Aunt Anne had her Brewer Game Extravaganza, so my parents knew there were no excuses, so we packed up the car and headed to the game this past Saturday for tailgate and all.
I took a nap on the way there so I would be rested for what I was sure would be a long and fun day all in one - and boy was I right. When we got there everybody was unpacking their cars and setting up tables, chairs, this game they call "bags", grills, and lots and lots of food. Before the game we just hung out in the parking lot. We took some pictures by the ball park, family ones, ones with me and mommy, all mommy's friends and I even got a picture with Daddy and Robin Yount. Okay, it was just a statue, but still he's a legand in Milwaukee - at least that's what I've heard.
So after a while of just chillin' out we finally ate. I had the rice cereal, and a bottle of Formula. In case you are wondering I was staring down Dad's carrots, and I know he saw me, but still did not share. Sharing is good right? After eating and before going into the game, I took a nap because I knew once we got in I would not want to miss anything.
Now onto the game. We reached the very top level and got to our seats (sort of). We were so high up it was pretty cool - I could see pretty much everything. We took some pictures and then I heard some people talking about what section we were in and I knew something was wrong, but I didn't think anybody wanted to move, so I got fussy just so that we could get out of the seats that weren't ours, and so that we could be closer to Bernie. After that, I settled down a bit and watched the game. I couldn't take my eyes off the huge screen in center field though - can you believe that thing is in HD?
Mom and Dad made us leave at about the 5th inning because they didn't think I could handle the rest of the game. Little did they know I had already left my magic mark on this one by just being there - just like my first one. Okay, let me explain. Just about one year ago, when I was still in Mommy's tummy, she and Daddy went to a Brewers game with Uncle Carl and Aunt Juli. The Brewers were tied in the bottom of the 10th inning with bases loaded and Ryan Braun hit a WALK OFF GRAND SLAM to win the game. On Saturday, even though we left early, we finished watching the game on TV and he did it again. In the bottom of the 9th inning with one man on, Ryan Braun hit another walk off HR to win the game. Pretty sweet isn't it? I'm a little luck charm of sorts!
Anyway, it was so much fun - I can't wait till next season! Hopefully they can get back to the playoffs. Dad tells me its only every 25 years that they make it.
I hope that's not true.
What a cutie! Looks like he had fun. Can't wait to see you guys Saturday!
