17 months

Internet! What up. Sorry I've missed you all these months and months, but you have to take these things into consideration:

1 - my mommy is a wedding photographer and summer/fall is the height of her busy wedding photo taking season

2 - I need parental guidance when writing these blog posts. I can't be just posting things willy-nilly on the internet for the world to see. I'm only 17 months old, I'm not entirely educated on the appropriateness of what to post on the web

3 - And besides, I don't even think the hack computer my parents have stuck me with even has an internet connection. It plays music (and not like cool mp3s, lame music), so I'm skeptical.

4 - it was summer, you should have more important things to do with your time than blog stalk me, but, since you're here and all....

MY PARENTS SAY I'M PRETTY SMART
I can identify the following body parts:
hands
feet
fingers
toes
head
hair
ears
eyes (and I can close my eyes when asked)
nose
belly button
tongue
teeth

AND, I can make the sounds for the following animals:
Dog
Kitty
Cow
Monkey
Duck
Sheep
Lion


I TALK
I'm getting much better at conversation. I understand pretty much everything said to me, and will answer with "Yes" or "No", depending on whether I agree with your stance on any given topic.

I GIVE (OR REFUSE TO GIVE) KISSES, OF BOTH THE REG'LAH & ESKIMO VARIETY
A lot of the time when asked now, I'll politely decline to do this. But, every so often, I'll still do it. Also, I'm an equal opportunity lover, so if mommy gets a kiss, then so does daddy - and usually anyone else in the room. I also give high fives & hugs on command.

MOLARS
I have 4 teeth on top, 4 on the bottom - and then instead of getting my canine/eye/vampire teeth next, I got the molars that come in behind them. So, there is a gap where the canine/eye/vampire teeth belong, followed by big honkin' molars. Allegedly, this is normal, but it looks mondo strange-o. Also, the past month and a half has been drool-a-rific because of said molars - please refer to the nice drool semi-circle from collar to belly button in every photo my mother has taken of me as proof.

I AM A DANCING MACHINE
F'reals. Mom says she's never seen a kid as into dancing as I am. I have different moves for different songs - including a wicked head bob, spinning in a circle, a shimmy, and some crazy footwork.

I'M INTO CINEMA
Mom & Dad will most certainly regret to turning me on to movies, but for now, its kind of cute that I like The Lion King so much. Plus, mom is happy I like a classic, rather than one of the newer ones....

I'M STILL AN EXCELLENT SLEEPER
Bedtime at 7:30 and up every morning between 6:30 and 7 - rarely a peep in the night.

CURRENT FAVORITES
Food: I'll try almost anything at this point, but that doesn't mean I'll eat it. I do like Mexican food a lot.

Toy: Books - I will bring book after book to mom & dad to read, until I clear the bookshelf. (Keep your eyes peeled for a ridiculously adorb video of me & dad reading "The Monster at the End of this Book"). Liking the Play-doh as well.

Activity: Baths. LOVE the baths. Also like helping with everything. And I'm pretty keen on throwing things in the garbage. Oh, and dancing.

And, in case you missed it - I'm going to be a big brother! Mommy & Daddy say there is a baby coming in March. They took me to a doctor appointment where we all sat in a dark room and watched a TV with no cable. Kinda weird. The sound effects were cool though.

I'm also told I'm getting a new room soon - I've seen some of the things mom has been spending all her money on to go in the room - I'm psyched for a big boy bed.

Oh, AND - my Mommy has finally quit her day job to focus on being a full-time photographer & Mommy. After next week, I'll get to stay home with her almost every day! I'll probably get into trouble a lot more, but I'm excited :)
