14 months old... ALMOST.

My newest accomplishments, internet - Take note!

I WALK!

Finally. I mean, my cousin Samantha has only been walking for like 5 months now, and she can pretty much run circles around me.... I take my time, and I'll usually only walk halfway to something before I remember that crawling is faster. But still, I CAN walk. When I want to.

I TALK

My vocabulary consists of "Mah" [more], "Bo Bo" [Brody], "Daddy", "Nigh Nigh" [to go to bed], "Roh?" [when the phone rings]... I'm pretty good at copying things people tell me to say, but mainly only inflection and syllables... but I am getting closer to saying "Loooove you" - right now its more like "Laaa-ooooh"

I also now go "Bruff bruff bruff bruff" when asked "What does the puppy say?", and I copy Brody & Miles every time they bark. I also make fun of Daddy's sneezes.

Aside from copying real words, I will most definitely have a 10 minute conversation with you in my own language, if you're willing to listen. I have LOTS of important things to say.

Thats only 1 or 2 more than I had at 10 months, but now they are almost all the way in, so I have a full-fledged smile.

I PLAY INSTRUMENTS & LOVE MUSIC

I got a piano for my birthday, and then Mom saw a recorder at Target int he $2 section, so she picked that up too. I'm learning how to blow air in it to make noise! I also have a microphone... on my way to being a star.

And if Dance Alot Robot comes on Disney, you best be out of the way of the TV.

I'M OFF THE BOTTLE

Except for bedtime... Everything comes in a cup now.

I HAVE MY OWN FURNITURE

I have my own chair for the play room AND for outside... I'm a  big deal like that. I very much enjoy climbing in and out of them over and over and over....

I'M AN EXCELLENT SLEEPER

This is Mommy jinxing herself... I ask to be put to bed at night by putting my head down on everything around me and sometimes saying "Nigh Nigh". Sometimes I'll lie awake in my crib for up to a half hour just playing, but rarely do I ever cry about it... and then I'll sleep thru the whole night and usually wake up happily babbling the next morning.

CURRENT FAVORITES

Food: I'm becoming a horrible eater, sadly. If I don't like the way something looks or feels, it isn't going anywhere near my mouth. But I am VERY fond of cheese & watermelon - and I get those with a lot of my meals lately.

Toy: I'm big on blocks & books lately. I'll flip thru my book collection for an hour, no problem.

Activity: Learning to walk. Getting out of the playroom when the door is left open. Washing my hands in the big sink. Playing outside.
